This versatile indigo fabric has been around FOREVER and is without a doubt going to be in the fashion world until the end of time. How awesome is it that it can be used in anything from shoes to tops and even handbags! Every year denim is around, but is much more of a HOTT commodity this Summer! The following are what you MUST HAVE in your “It Girl” wardrobe NOW, denim obsession!

For me I love, love, love Bermuda shorts! They seem to be really flattering on me since I am a little vertically challenge (only 5’ 2” tall). I like them in a medium wash and are best when they look a little worn in and rugged, but are all great for an EASY casual look!

I have always loved the Daisy Duke cut off look because it’s so country yet SEXY at the same time! Rock them with a simple pair of flip flops and cropped tee or a boyfriend tank and a great pair of short cowboy boots! I am also craving a pair of colored denim shorts or printed denim…change it up from the typical blue jean blues and have FUN with it!!



This line of Alexander Wang handbags is a little more affordable than his usual extremely high priced pieces and I love the everyday look of them! They are meant to look like denim, but are actually made out of cotton and jersey which is great because like a pair of jeans, they can be worn with absolutely ANYTHING!!

For about two months now I have been trying to get my hands on the perfect denim shirt that is under $100, but so far I have not succeeded…sad. BUT I think while writing this particular blog I have finally found the winner at Topshop. These are some examples of the best way to wear this masculine yet feminine trend, ah how I wish I could have one of EACH!


Gotta love ROMPERS in any style! To me, denim rompers have a sort of innocence to them that you don’t get with any other kind and this Nanette Lepore one is a MUST-HAVE!

Now, I actually thought these were not going to come back for at least a few years, but jean jackets are a staple this season and look really great over a cute little day dress or opt for a cropped denim jacket and throw it on over a long maxi. Perfect for those bonfires on a cool Summer night!


And we can’t forget about the classic pair of jeans. My favorite denim designer is William Rast! I probably have around 5 or 6 pairs thanks to sample sale sites like Gilt and Hautelook. They are the BEST fit and don’t wear out like many other brands. I love the “Belle flair flap pocket” style in any given wash, incredibly FLATTERING on the booty! If you don’t want to wear the typical leggings or a pair of tight and stiff skinny jeans try the “jegging” it’s just like a skinny jean, but with the added comfort of a stretchy legging!
