A Hodgepodge of Romance!

I have to say that I think the trends this Spring are some of my favorites in the past few years. There is a little bit of everything and a lot of different options in every category! I personally don’t love to wear shorts all Summer long so I am happy to see that Bermuda and boyfriend shorts are still fashion forward along with a new style I have never tried before….harem pants! I hated them for the longest time because they reminded me of the 80’s and MC Hammer, but they are actually really comfy and fun to wear. The majority of them come in black too so they are also pretty figure flattering.



Another trend that I have been really inspired by are feminine corsets or “bustiers”. No, I’m not talking about the corsets girl’s put on for a night of dirty dancing at club on a Saturday night. You CAN go out without looking like your trying out for the next Jersey Shore (See picture below. Sadly, this type of clothing is sold in the Milwaukee area). Pair the prettier corsets with skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, or even harem pants and they can be worn from day to night! For going out just slip on a great leather jacket over it and your ready to go. This L.A.M.B corset and See by Chloe corset are two of my favs!










Again, my obsession with all that Nicole Richie designs continues with her branching out into clothing with Winter Kate. I love just about everything in the Spring line, but I am in desperate need of this “Opy jacket” or the “Jasmine feather print wrap”. These are so lightweight and incredibly easy to slip on for a dinner date with your man or girlfriends OR just to run errands in! I saw these about a week ago in the new Elle magazine and I only wished they were a fraction of the cost. The new Miu Miu floral print silk duchesse maryjanes would make any girl feel young and pretty! I’m just hoping I can find a pair similar that are less expensive because they are a must-have in my overflowing closet of shoes! AND since we have had so many people ask if we have shoes at Fred, they are now coming back by popular demand! Look for FABULOUS new styles in the next few weeks!!



It’s great that the shorts this season come in so many varieties and fabric. Finally we can get away from the plain old distressed denim shorts that seem to be on trend every year! Don’t get me wrong, I think they are a great standby, but come on let’s bring in something new to change it up. I love these ADAM silk shorts for the fun print and feminine touch it has. These See by Chloe lingerie shorts are also great for a dressier occasion or a night out!







Let’s finish off all this romantic fashion stuff with pearls! They are classic, pretty, and never go out of style. The trend this season in pearls is MORE IS MORE and I love it!!
